Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 12, 2026
At Finjective, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Finjective app.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide: Account information — name and email address provided during sign-up. Financial data — budget categories, transactions, income, expenses, net worth entries, and plan data that you manually enter into the App. Profile information — any preferences or settings you configure. Finny conversations — questions you ask the AI assistant.
Information Collected Automatically: Basic device information (such as device type and operating system version) may be processed to deliver the service. Authentication tokens provided by Google OAuth or Apple Sign-In.
Information We Do NOT Collect: We do not collect or access your actual bank accounts, credit cards, or financial institution credentials. We do not collect payment information. We do not track your location.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Finjective app; authenticate your identity and secure your account; sync your data across your devices; send important service-related notifications; and respond to your support requests. We do NOT use your financial data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the service to you.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted database infrastructure provider. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled by industry-standard providers (Google, Apple, Supabase Auth). Access to your data is restricted to your account only.
While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.
4. Third-Party Services
Finjective uses the following third-party services:
Supabase (supabase.com): Database storage and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase servers.
Google OAuth: Optional sign-in method governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Apple Sign-In: Optional sign-in method governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Anthropic (anthropic.com): When you use the Finny AI assistant, relevant context from your financial data (such as budget totals, category breakdowns, recent transactions, and net worth summaries) is securely sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. This occurs only when you actively use Finny. Per Anthropic's API terms, data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all your personal data and financial records within 30 days of the deletion request, except where we are required to retain it by law.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data: Access — you can view all your data within the App at any time. Correction — you can edit or update your information directly in the App. Deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data through the Profile tab. Export — use the Export Data feature in the Profile tab to download a copy of your data at any time. Opt-out — you may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
Finjective is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our app, so long as those parties agree to keep your information confidential. We may disclose your information if required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
9. Advertising
Finjective does not display advertisements and does not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not allow advertisers to target you based on your financial data.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through the App.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information.
