Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Finjective mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Finjective.
2. Description of Service
Finjective is a personal finance tracking application designed to help users manage budgets, track cash flow, monitor net worth, and plan financial goals. The App is a tool for personal financial organization only.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Finjective is NOT a licensed financial advisor, broker, or investment service. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All financial decisions you make based on information in the App are solely your own responsibility. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.
3. User Accounts
To use Finjective, you must create an account using a valid email address, Google account, or Apple ID. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activity that occurs under your account, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App.
4. User Data and Ownership
You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into Finjective. We do not claim any ownership rights over your personal financial information. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse engineer or decompile any part of the App, use automated tools to scrape data, impersonate any person or entity, attempt unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure, or upload any malicious code or harmful content.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and all its content, features, and functionality — including the design, graphics, text, and code — are owned by Finjective and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
Finjective uses third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Google OAuth, and Apple Sign-In. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers. Finjective also uses Anthropic's Claude API to power the Finny AI assistant; data sent to it is governed by Anthropic's terms and is not used to train AI models.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FINJECTIVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. You use the App at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the Profile tab in the App. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ohio.
